Lost teeth are compensated with fixed prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), removable prosthodontics (dentures) and combined prosthetics (fixed and mobile work and implants). Compensation of front teeth is important not only for aesthetic reasons but also because of the phonetics and proper chewing, while the compensation of lateral teeth is important not only because of properly shredding and grinding of food, but also for stability and proper functioning of the entire lower third of the face and jaw.
In the dental office Mitrovic Dent there is always an intention to preserve or use each tooth in the preparation of some of the prosthetic restorations, but if all possibilities are exhausted, our staff performs the extraction. To make the process painless, the whole procedure is done under the influence of local anesthesia.
Periodontal disease affects and destroys all the supporting tissues of teeth leading to their swaying and falling. The cause of this disease are bacteria that are collected at the junction between the teeth and gums. If these bacteria are not removed regularly, it leads to inflammation of the gingiva (gums). If this condition is not treated promptly it leads to receding gums and eventually loss of teeth.
In the dental office Mitrovic Dent we perform all types of reconstruction using the highest quality dental materials and methods. Composites, compomers and ceramic inlays provide a perfect aesthetic reconstruction of damaged and diseased teeth. Restore the luster of your teeth and keep shining smile.
Dental diseases and endodontics
Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that studies and rehabilitates malformation, diseases or injuries within the tooth. Diseases of the dental pulp (lat. pulpa dentis) usually occur as a result of complications regarding dental caries, i.e. progression of dental hard substance destruction (enamel, dentin and more seldom teeth cementum) to the pulp. Dental pulp reacts on the incoming infection with inflammation manifested by the appearance of a toothache. Less commonly inflammations of dental pulp may occur as a result of penetration of bacterial toxins to the pulp through the dentinal canals and periodontal pockets through the hole on the top of the root. Trauma is also a common cause of injury or inflammation of the pulp.
Endodontic treatment of teeth
Treatment of root canal – endodontic therapy is among the most unpopular dental procedures, probably because the name already associated with something very painful. However, in reality it is usually not a painful procedure because it is now usually based in local anesthesia, and most people who were treated with endodontic therapy, describe their experience similar to teeth filling procedure.
